We have 30 years of local construction experience between our client service team and soundproofing crew.

Soundproofing and acoustic work is definitely a challenge – it is not always easy to do! We are in this industry because we LOVE a challenge and we like the innovation that comes with finding solutions to new problems our clients bring to us.

About Soundproof Solutions

We are a family business which has been operating in the construction industry since 2005.

We pride ourselves on our long standing team, with staff who have generally been here seven years or more.

Our team of soundproofing experts are all construction professionals, led by our Director, Rod.

Rod has a strong balance of both professional and technical experience – as well as formal training and education. He has been on building sites since he was 16 and has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management.

Our clients deal with Rod from project start to project completion. He has an exceptional knowledge of codes and is interested in all development opportunities.

Our first soundproofing job was a private studio in Carindale in 2009 – and we have since completed and constructed more than 20 studios, soundproofed 20 different office spaces and undertaken more than 70 acoustic improvement projects.

We have developed and value  our long standing relationships with acoustic engineers to ensure all projects meet the specifications required to achieve the right results for you.

Meet Our Team

Roderick Feather

Director, Soundproof Solutions
Rod completed his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Construction Management in 1999. Following university he worked for a large commercial company where he learnt the importance of time management, project costing and communication. He was able to use these skills to successfully start his own construction business in 2004. Over time his science background and passion for music have led him into the niche area of soundproofing and acoustics - his happy place.

Miara Feather

Office Manager, Soundproof Solutions
Miara completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Podiatry in 2000. She worked as a podiatrist until 2015 when she decided to channel her skills into the family business.

Mitch Hughson

Carpenter
Mitch started his apprenticeship with us in 2016 straight after finishing school. He has a passion for baseball and has flown all over the world to play. He knows how to set goals and how to go about achieving them, whether its on the baseball field or on your job!

Zane Thornton

Carpenter
Zane started working for us in 2017. He has an incredible eye for detail and likes every finish to be perfect. These attributes are perfect for anyone working with sound! When Zane isn’t at work he is keeping fit with his local AFL team.
